I Guess This Means I Get to Hang Out With Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg a Lot More Now

I bought a MINI Cooper today. It was a I-really-don’t-need-a-new-car- but-fuck-if-I-don’t-deserve- a-reward-once-in-awhile type decisions. It’s been brewing for a few months now and last night I decided to stop torturing myself.
My favorite part of the buying experience:
Me: I really want the green top. But everyone keeps acting like it’s a bad idea.
Scott: Like who?
Me: The salesguy.
Me: I guess for resale value, maybe black would be better.
Scott: Are you kidding me? Look at that car (points to a yellow MINI with racing stripes an H painted on the roof) — that car is yellow. Yellow. Stop stressing. The green top is cool. You’ve wanted the green top all along. Get the green top. Just don’t get a yellow car.
So I got the green top. But talk about delayed gratification — it won’t be delivered until early August (hopefully just in time for the long weekend we’re spending with Scott’s family in the Outer Banks). In the meantime, I need some immediate gratification, and I hear Apple’s got some kind of fancy new gadget coming out this Friday …
